Blue Oak Woodland
Open Blue Oak (Quercus douglassii) woodland on a S-facing slope. The understory has many flowering herbs heavily visited by early-season butterflies, e.g. Blue Dicks (Dichelostemma capitatum). Ithuriel's Spear (Triteleia laxa), and the annual; vetches (Vicia spp.), all favored by the Pipevine Swallowtail (Battus philenor) and Propertius Duskywing (Erynnis propertius).
